Feeling Lucky? The Diversity Visa Lottery Program provides an opportunity to individuals from select countries or regions (including Northern Ireland, but not the rest of the UK) to receive one of 55,000 immigrant visas.  It's free to register. The registration period for the DV Program typically runs from the beginning of October to the beginning of November.  The winners are announced the following May.
